British Embassy’s First Secretary of Economic Affairs in Libya Explores Investment Opportunities at Misurata Free Zone


To strengthen its international investment presence and highlight its competitive edge, the Misurata Free Zone today hosted Mr. Alexander Hamilton, First Secretary of Economic Affairs at the British Embassy in Libya, and an accompanying delegation. The visit was attended by Eng. Aladdin Baba, Director of the Marketing and Cooperation Department, and Eng. Wissam Abolifa, Director of the Investment Department.


The delegation was briefed on the Free Zone's diverse advantages and investment potential. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation, establishing strategic partnerships with British companies and investors, and creating opportunities to localize investments across various sectors.


The British delegation also conducted a site visit, gaining firsthand insight into the readiness of several investment sites. The visit underscored the Misurata Free Zone's advanced infrastructure and facilities, which are fully equipped to attract and host a wide range of international investments and solidify its position as one of the leading investment hubs in the Mediterranean and North Africa.
