The Misurata Free Zone (MFZ) recently welcomed a high-level delegation from DHL, one of the world's leading logistics and international shipping companies, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance investment and cooperation.
The delegation was led by Majid Ragheb, DHL’s Chief Executive for North Africa. He was accompanied by Omar Tantawi, Country Manager for Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Libya; Khaled Sabry, Head of Ocean Freight for North Africa; Fatma El-Yousfi, Commercial Manager for DHL Libya; and Ahmed El-Qandouz, Branch Manager for DHL Libya.
During the visit, the delegation was given a detailed presentation on the Free Zone's strategic advantages. This presentation highlighted its prime geographic location, advanced infrastructure, operational capacities, and expansion projects .
The itinerary also included a comprehensive field tour of the seaport and other key facilities. This provided the DHL team with first-hand insight into the zone’s operational capabilities and recently completed projects.
The visit by the global logistics leader reflects the growing interest of major international companies in investing in the Misurata Free Zone. It reinforces the MFZ's position as a strategic destination on one of the world’s most important maritime corridors and underscores its growing role as a regional hub for modern trade and logistics services
