Misurata Free Zone Welcomes Japanese Delegation to Boost Economic Cooperation and Investment

The General Manager of Misurata Free Zone today welcomed a high-level Japanese delegation led by Mr. Keiichi Iwamoto, Director of the Middle East and Africa Department at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Izuru Shimura, Japan’s Ambassador to Libya.

The visit aimed to strengthen economic cooperation and explore new investment opportunities that support Libya’s economic growth.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Free Zone’s facilities and seaport, gaining insight into its advanced infrastructure and strategic role as a gateway for trade and investment in North Africa and the Mediterranean.

The tour concluded with a visit to Toyota’s regional headquarters, reflecting the confidence of global companies in the Free Zone’s strategic location, modern infrastructure, and investor-friendly environment.
