The improvement and maintenance of Heavy Transport road in Misurata project, which is fully sponsored by Misurata Free Zone, has started this week.
The project involves scraping and re-paving damaged parts of the road, improving entrances and side exists, implementing a 16000 meter concrete barrier separating the lanes of the road, installing solar powered light poles, marking road lines and placing traffic signs and safety instructions in accordance with the approved specifications. This is to reduce accidents and facilitate the safe movement of trucks and cars.
The project is approved at the third meeting of the Management Committee in 2021, as part of the plan to rehabilitate the areas surrounding the Misurata Free Zone and the connecting roads, as well as to fulfill the social responsibility of free zone and serve the public interest. The project is supervised by the Technical Affairs Department in the Misurata Free Zone.
