Guarantees granted to free zone investors

LAW No.9/2000 CONCERNING
ORGANIZING TRANSIT TRADE & FREE ZONE

ARTICLE. (7)

All projects , investors and occupants funds inside the free zone, and as well as the transit goods are considered to be a private funds ,no matter of the entity holder, and these funds can’t be retained or possessed nor impose any restrains, unless by means of law by way of law provisions or judicial execution in the state of Libya.

ARTICLE. (8)

All projects established inside the free zone shall not be nationalized, expropriated, seized, confiscated and frozen or subjected to any procedures that have the same effects, unless it is an act of law in exchange for a fair compensation.
