This week, the construction work of the concrete structure of the Pediatric Department building at the National Cancer Institute in Misurata was launched. The project would be fully sponsored by Misurata Free Zone with a contribution from the Libyan Iron and Steel Company.

The project works include the construction of a building consisting of a ground building and three floors with a covered area of ​​2500 m2.

The building includes reception halls for patients, eight examination clinics, twenty-four accommodation rooms, an operating room, sterilization and intensive care rooms, three restrooms for doctors, administrative offices, a meeting room, men’s waiting rooms, women’s waiting rooms, a pharmacy, in addition to the service annexes in each floor of the building.

The project was approved at the third meeting of the Management Committee for the year 2021, within the framework of the continuation of the Misurata Free Zone in carrying out its social responsibilities in a manner that serves the public interest.
