His Excellency the Ukrainian Ambassador to Libya and an accompanying delegation, accompanied by members of the Libyan Business Owners Council, visited Misurata Free Zone on Sunday 03/11/2013.
He was received by the members of the administration of the free zone headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, at the administration headquarters.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors opened the reception with words of welcome to His Excellency the Ambassador, and the guests accompanying him, and pointed out to the good relations that bind the two countries. He then proceeded to give a comprehensive idea about the Misurata Free Zone and the investment activities available therein. He also indicated that the time is very appropriate for international companies to invest in the free zone and make early entry to the Libyan market. The meeting also included a documentary about Misurata Free Zone, explaining the commercial movement in the port and a brief summary of the investment companies in the free zone.
The ambassador praised the efforts made by the administration of Misurata Free Zone and its interest in providing a good investment climate. He also introduced the companies as well as industrial and service activities for which the State of Ukraine is famous, and the potential to enhance cooperation between the two countries in several investment fields.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador thanked the administration of the free zone for the kind reception and hospitality.
