Libyan International Forum for Maritime Economy Kicks Off in Misurata Free Zone

The Libyan International Forum for Maritime Economy kicked off today at the Misurata Free Zone, organized by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, in cooperation with national and regional institutions specializing in trade, maritime economy, and maritime transport.

The forum brings together experts in maritime transport, logistics, and international trade from Europe and Africa to exchange expertise, explore regional cooperation opportunities, and discuss current trends in maritime economic development.

The event runs through Sunday, featuring three daily sessions, along with presentations and side events highlighting successful initiatives and strategic projects in the maritime sector.

Hosting the forum highlights the Misurata Free Zone’s role as a major economic and logistics hub and reflects the progress made in upgrading its infrastructure. Recent improvements include modernized operational facilities, upgraded conference and event spaces, and enhanced port and maritime services, creating a well-equipped environment for major economic events.

By hosting and supporting such international forums, the Misurata Free Zone continues to promote economic dialogue, strengthen strategic partnerships, and reinforce its position as a national platform for economic cooperation.
