This step has come as a part of the plans of Misurata Free Zone administration to develop the competence of the staff and workers of the port, as well as to bridge the academic and technical gap in the curricula of the Libyan state, which owns a couple of the most important ports along the coast.
The Undersecretary has presented a proposal for the curricula and departments that should be setup in the first phase of launching the two institutes.
These two institutes are going to have a significant impact on the development of ports and maritime transport business, in addition to logistics, warehousing, transportation and handling.
